I bought this set for my daughter for Christmas. It is very sturdy and she absolutely loves it. The people's legs move in all kinds of weird directions so that they can ride the horses. The joints seems sturdy and the people actually stand up on their own. The horses are also very sturdy and lifelike. Not cheap looking at all. For the price of the toy I would say buy one for every horse lover in your household.
