WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I THOUGHT this would be the perfect gift for my 8yr old. horse loving daughter. What a mistake.
The horse was of great quality as expected from the Breyer horses,yet the figurine/doll was horrible cheap.
It literally came apart at the legs when my daughter 1st mounted her on the horse. She only played with it 1x before it broke!
The set was too expensive for such a cheap doll. Would recommend purchasing just the Breyer horse and not the set.

I love this item!!! But when I opened it I found it to be traditional instead of a classic!
The doll: It's a barbie doll type doll. It's clothes is removable and so are the boots. It is about 8" tall.
The horse: It's a buckskin paint and it has a felt saddle and a pretend leather bridle. Beautiful model!!!
I'd recomend this item! Perfect for a birthday or Christmas. That's why I gave it straight A's !!!!!!

The tack is, as most Breyer tack...not the best. It is fine for play, especially if you have glue handy in case of accidents. The doll is also typical Breyer...nice, but a bit overrated. The tack and doll are not durable enough for small children, but are fine for older kids who want some accessories for their barn. The horse himself is gorgeous, I fell in love with him immediately! He has lovely light coloring and an expressive face, and looks just like a faithful, friendly ranch horse.
