Fragile plastic, don't stand up by themselves. My daughter plays with the cheapo plastic horses from her grandmother more. Also very small. They did look great on a birthday cake though!

I was so disappointed in this toy. I wanted it for my little grandson who LOVES horses. His eyes lit up, but the horses did not hold his attention 10 minutes. They are poorly made, do not stand up, and are very small. He stood them up by sticking their heads in the carpet. This was a real waste of my money.
