Great for kids who love horsesJan 30, 2010 My daughter really enjoys reading the story especially since we live so close to the location. She also loves playing with the horses acting out the story.

Breyer collecterDec 31, 2009 I collect several breyers, and normally when I buy them, i do it because I have seen that breyer and liked it. However, with this one, i say it and it was more like "hmm... i think i think this." Later after opening, i decided i like this set very much. As a child i lost the book, and this one came with the first book in the series. The mare and the foal are very beautiful, however, there is something about these two thats different than almost any other breyer; their fur! Most breyers are smooth, but these (in an attempt to recreate the fur from this breed of pony) is rough and bumpy. It gives it a different and extremely cute look.
Good:
Appearance
Pony sized instead of normal horse size
More unique molds
Beautiful color
Book included
Bad:
Not really for a 'toy' as legs can be broken off (is still pretty durrible though)
Overall, as a collecter, i love this set

Excellent quality, odd setJan 03, 2009 The models are very nice, typical of Breyer horses. The book is excellent, one I'll re-read with my girls again. It's a bit of an odd set since the Stormy figure is of a horse that is not in this first book. Stormy comes later in another book. But both models are very pretty and the book is great. My daughter loves them all.
