I bought this item for my neice at Christmas. She likes horses and also loves crafts. She could hardly wait to open it and start painting. She had both horses done in one night! Great gift for horse lovers and the craft lover. . .perfect for the person who loves both!

 Not exactly for 8-year-olds!Feb 01, 2008
My little sister got the Model Horse Activity Kit for Christmas. And it's not exactly for 8-year-olds like it says on the box. My sister's finished horses didn't look very good, and I offered to paint one of them over. After trying this, I now don't blame her at all for doing a slightly messy job. The paint is very difficult to work with, plus it's still sticky days after it is painted. But it might be better for older kids with a steady hand.

I found this activity kit to be enjoyable and simple to use. The horse has light outlines to guide your painting. However, the shipping tends to be a bit much.

This kit looks like it will be soo fun you can paint it anykind you want and you can paint a horse you can always keep and rember!

This Breyer kit is very fun and enjoyable. This kit holds two unpainted Paddock pals models, you can paint them any kind you want. I think it is educational,because it in a way teachs you about the real colors of a horse and even the body parts while you turn the horse around to paint the side. It encourages the younger kids to paint their own models with their very hands like a professinal painter to keep forever and cherish in the child's childhood the first models he/she painted all by himself of herself.
