While my 6 year old son has really enjoyed this set, as have his 3 year old twin sister and brother, the paint did start to come off the first day. Perhaps they are for gentler play. He did complain about the paint but has still been enjoying playing with the set. He loves stories about horse jumping so this lets him play out his own stories. A plus is that at least one of the figures isn't clearly a boy or girl so he considers it a boy despite the package that seems to say they are two girls.

NOTE: Even people that don't like the saddle club will enjoy this set!
This set is based off the episode "Jump Off" from the first season of the saddle club television series.
About the set: The set came out in 2008. The horses are very realistic.
And the people wear clothes that the people wore in the tv series, they have bendable legs so that they can ride! The blue ribbon can clip onto the horse's bridle or reins.Doc is a pretty soft grayish white color. Starlight is in jumping position, but has a clear stand so that he can stand up. The only thing about this set is the the jump is a little hard to set up. the rails fall easily.
The set includes:
1 carole figure in show clothes
1 Andrea figure in show clothes
1 starlight stablemate in jumping position
1 Doc stable mate (he's a soft grayish white, very pretty!)
1 jump
1 blue ribbon
1 silver trophy
4 sections of white fencing
2 saddles and 2 bridles
About Carole and Starlight: Carole Hanson is the best junior rider at Pine Hollow Stables and her buckskin horse, Starlight, is willing to do anything and everything for her. Which makes them a nearly unbeatable team.
About the Episode: Carole has a natural talent for riding and is regarded one of the best, but she begins to feels threatened when a new girl, Andrea Barry and her horse Doc come to Pine Hollow. Carole finds out that she will be competing against Andrea in an upcoming horse show and dedicates all her free time to getting herself and her horse ready. But when stable brat, Veronica diAngelo, tries to trick Andrea into dropping out, Carole has to overcome her jealousy and tell Andrea the truth, even if she risks losing.
