My 7 year old daughter is in the middle of a horse phase and really loves this set. We read the first book together while she was recuperating from a tonsillectomy. The horse set and story really entertained her. We both love the detail on the Belle's tack and Stevie's clothes. My daughter has even put saddle pads on her other horses that didn't come with them, to make them look better. We're both very pleased. My daughter would like another set, and the next book!

I really like the breyer / girl horse sets that I purchased for my daughter (6) for christmas. HOwever, I have a two 1/2 year old who likes to take the bridles / harnesses off the horses face and they are very delicate and flimsy. I have tried to keep him away from them, but thats easier said than done. My daughter loves playing with them and they are very life like, just have to be gentle with the riding gear on them.

Nice, quality toy for my daughter. However, the horse is shown in a cantering position online, but the horse we received was in a standing position.

I adore this set! It is absolutely adorable! I know lots of people have had trouble, but I have been gentle with mine, and it hasn't broken. I do have the Prancer/Lisa, and Starlight/Carole too, and the only issues with them have been that Prancer's reins did snap on one side. The only other thing would be, that in this picture, it shows Belle moving, and she was actually standing when I got it. I don't have an issue with that, personally. And, 2nd (which doesn't bother me either), Stevie's hair was in pig-tails rather than a pony tail. I love the product all together, though. I reccomend! :)

My granddaughter loves horses, but she's not old enough to take care of them properly. This ones reins & bridle were gone in minutes, but otherwise has withstood several months of play with no further damage. She doesn't watch the show, but she truly enjoys the horse & rider. She has a barn at her house & at my house and horses galore. I love to see her imagination at work.
