the sticker type of mosaic is better because once affixed that's it.
I was attracted to the reusable aspect of this toy but that is illusory. Once you make a masterpiece, you don't really want to destroy it. Worst part is when little pieces fall, they are a pain to pick up. Why add to housework.

My six year old daughter loves arts and crafts so, I ordered this for her for Christmas. The metallic mosaic tiles are colorful and come in sheets where each tile has to be separated before use. This is a bit tedious but, it is only a one-time task. It comes with several picture diagrams that show how to complete each project. I did one of them first. I enjoyed creating the beautiful picture even though it took me several hours to complete, which makes me somewhat reluctant to dismantle it. I think it is too advanced for a six year old child and the little tiles can be too easily lost but, would be great for older children and adults. However, I would not recommend this for someone who is not willing to invest a lot of time with it. This set is well constructed and should last a long time if the proper care is taken. I have since discovered on Amazon that there is a simpler version for younger children.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for the six year old next door. We were still opening presents with her family when she had it opened and was making her first creation. There are so many templates included, that they'll never run out of possibilities on things to make. An excellent toy and excellent value.

Amazon was the only place I could find Magnetic Mosaics. Unlike regular mosaics which you can only do once, my son can keep redoing it. A great value
