Magnetic MosaicsJan 14, 2008

This was a good buy for my budding artist however I wish I would have known how truly tiny the magnetic foam pieces were prior to purchase. The overall concept is great since pieces can be easily maneuvered on the metal box lid to create a project. The stencils were awesome and booklet has alot of additional ideas for masterpieces. The only downside is the size of the individual pieces which were about 1/8 of an inch....incredibly tiny for small fingers. The metal box itself is 6" x 6" which is hard to tell from the picture here. For this reason I think durability is not so great. I expect pieces to be easily lost. I would have preferred to see pieces that were at least 1/2 inch big even if that means packaging the item in a slightly bigger magnetic container.

GOOD VALUE FOR MONEYFeb 17, 2009
By ESMERALDA AZKARATE-GAZTELU Not expensive at all and I guess a durable toy as long as you come out of ideas or pieces (they are pretty small).
The only drawback is that I hoped the pieces to have more of a metallic or sparking quality than they actually have. They are just metallic paper sheets stuck on top of regular magnetic paper.
I like the fact that it comes on a metallic box as well so that you can store it forever on it. They make good fridge magnets... You can do frames around photos on your fridge or so.

Allows creativity!Jan 14, 2008
By Tina G. Great toy for a kid who likes to make designs-a doodler. The only drawback is the tiles are tiny and easily lost. But the fact that they are magnetic makes it a good travel toy.....Tina-Wilmington,DE

Cool new way to "paint by numbers!"Feb 01, 2008

Cool new way to "paint by number" you place the colored magnets on squares that are numbered and the numbers match with a specific color, so it's really neat! If you can keep the kids from losing the magnets (they are kind of small) you can use it over and over. I bought it for my kid, but I ended up doing it.
I have a daughter that is in the hospital alot (cancer) so when I'm there, this is a good way, sometimes, to pass the time.
Great fun for someone patient enough to do it...
Too cheap, not what I expected.Dec 23, 2011
By T. Reer This is way too cheap. Not worth the money. The concept of using mosaics was appealing. However, this is way too cheap. You use the magnetic bos lid for the activity. Also, the pieces were way too small.
