My six year old daughter loves arts and crafts so, I ordered this for her for Christmas. The metallic mosaic tiles are colorful and come in sheets where each tile has to be separated before use. This is a bit tedious but, it is only a one-time task. It comes with several picture diagrams that show how to complete each project. I did one of them first. I enjoyed creating the beautiful picture even though it took me several hours to complete, which makes me somewhat reluctant to dismantle it. I think it is too advanced for a six year old child and the little tiles can be too easily lost but, would be great for older children and adults. However, I would not recommend this for someone who is not willing to invest a lot of time with it. This set is well constructed and should last a long time if the proper care is taken. I have since discovered on Amazon that there is a simpler version for younger children.

Amazon was the only place I could find Magnetic Mosaics. Unlike regular mosaics which you can only do once, my son can keep redoing it. A great value

I have bought many of the "sticker" Sticky Mosaic sets offered by Orb Factory but this is the first time I decided to get the metallic "reusable" magnetic mosaics. The idea of reusing the mosaic pieces and numbered templates sounded like a good idea since the sticker mosaics are a one time deal. The magnets came in sheets so they had to be separated to begin. My kids who are 4 and 5 enjoyed doing this task! We all started applying the magnets to the template which was fun for a bit but the magnets slide around very easily when you put them down if your finger slightly brushes up against them. My kids lost interest after about 15 minutes due to frustration with the magnets moving around. I continued on to show them the end result but I spent half of my time fixing the tiles that moved as I tried to apply the new tiles. In the end I think this is a great idea in terms of "re-usability" but the practicality is not quite there. I plan to stick with the sticker mosaics offered by Orb Factory which my kids absolutely love! I just need them to create more designs as my kids have done majority of them already!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for the six year old next door. We were still opening presents with her family when she had it opened and was making her first creation. There are so many templates included, that they'll never run out of possibilities on things to make. An excellent toy and excellent value.

My daughter has loved doing the sticky mosaics in the past so I thought I would try this product out. It is definitely an interesting twist. She has had fun and enjoyed it almost as mush as the sticky mosaics.
