LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS!!!!Dec 28, 2009
By ALB I came across this while buying art supplies for XMas. I almost put it back on the shelf
because I was trying to stay focused on what "the plan" was for gifts for the girls. I am so glad
I didn't put it back. My daughter is almost 4 and she absolutely LOVES this! What a hit. She knows her letters, numbers, and shapes and this is a spin off of a color by numbers type activity. But it is not necessary for you to know your letters and numbers to do this. There is a key on each page, but the letters / numbers are written out in the color that you use.
We have twins who are nearly 2 one who kind of understands what you are supposed to do with this toy if you assist her. So I would say if you have an art-inspired (or a child who likes sorting) this is quite fun to do with that age as well.
My nearly 4 year old, can play with this by herself. But what I like best is that it is a great activity to do with her. It's a bit of learning and a bit of creativity and best of all, for me, it really IS NOT mundane. I did one by myself today, haha. It says ages 4-99 on the box, my guess is that quite a few adults end up making their own creation.
When you are finished it can be set up in the frame to display - my daughter especially loves this.
I am so happy with this kit that I plan on buying it for any birthday parties that may come up in her age range.

Great FunJan 14, 2009

We purchased this for my 5-year old daughter for Christmas. It was easy to get started and quite fun. We had quite the creative time making our own pictures using the many different colors. It was great to see my daughter match up the colors and numbers and be successful quickly. This could bring hours of fun in the future.

I found this by accident for my 6 year old son and decided to try it. This is a delightful toy. The fact that it is magnetic is wonderful since it can be used and reused - over and over again. My son loves it and I have found that I even enjoy it. I was not sure if we'd be happy with the quality when we pulled it out of the box, but so far it is just fine and we are very happy with this. It was a great gift find and my son is playing with this toy more (the day after Christmas) then any other toy he got.

This is so much fun!Dec 08, 2008
By Mamayaya That is what my 5 year old daughter kept saying over and over while we were making the mosaics. She loves it. I thought it was great fun too. The pieces are sturdy foam and glittery. This is something she will be enjoying for a while because once she gets tired of the packaged pictures she can make her own.

Fun for everyoneFeb 08, 2010
By Piano 88 We bought this for our two four year old grands and as soon as they sat down with the mosaics, everyone was around watching, then were waiting to have their turn. The adults challenged each other to see who could come up with the most creative design.I've since bought another for a 5 year old. I think this would be great for a senior citizen too!
