Bought for 7 1/2 year old twin boys,it has provided hours of assembly and decorating fun and now they are enjoying castle play. It did require adult assistance in assembling the building. It is a great toy for this age.

Bought this for my 5 year old who loves the Sticky Mosaic Cards and also recently has a thing for castles and knights. We put it together with a little girl friend of his and they worked on it for 2 hours, alternating sticking on tiles and coloring. My 8 year old joined in too. Eventually I put it together and we kept working until it was finished and then they played with it. My husband couldn't believe we made it and how sturdy it turned out to be. There seems to be something therapeutic and addictive about sticking those little tiles on the boards.. Also great for developing their fine motor skills!

I was hoping this would be something nice for my 8 year old daughter to do but assembly was impossible. The four corner pieces are very hard to fold together, and the drawbridges don't really work. The figures don't fit in the doors. The instructions were tiny and very vague. She cried and threw the pieces around and then I ended up doing it and it is just sitting. She put on 3 or 4 mosaic tiles and now it is just sitting doing nothing. Would not recommend.

Found this for sale ridiculously cheap at a local store. I generally find myself pretty disappointed with kids toys my boys bring home but this is GREAT! I immediately came to Amazon looking for more. My husband constructed the castle buy my 3 boys (3, 5, 7) all worked delightfully well together to apply the stickers and color the characters and then play with the castle. It's surprisingly sturdy and attractive and so much fun. Great for improving fine motor skills and focused attention!
