I am a collecter, I know my Breyer.Feb 23, 2007

I am 14, and have been collecting Breyer horses for a long time now. These horse, cute yes, but they are Not up to the regular breyer standards. They are made from an older mold, so their detail is not to great. The new models that where released this year had Wonderful detail, I got the dappled draft horse. But anyway, these horse don't have the best paint job. They seem...almost tacky compaired to my 100rds of other Breyer horses. But I love them non the less. :) 4 stars is the hightest I will go.
And did enyone else see that the never models of Breyer horses had FOOT detail? They show the frog and everything! (for the people who don't know, the from is an...almost 'hilly' part of the bottom of a horses foot. Hilly isn't the best word, but I can't think of anyhting else)
I would buy these horses for an older child, over the age of 7. They are fragile and meant not to be rough housed. Sadly my younger sister failed to note that and broke one of my stablemates horse's leg off. Boohoo. I had to tape a toothpick on there to make her stand up because I lost her leg and couldn't put it back on her. :(
Not the best, but still funDec 13, 2011
By RedstoneManor I recieved these as a gift, and while they are just as gorgeous and adorable as the rest of the Stablemates line, they have a tendancy to fall over. They definitely do not stand as well as the adult counterparts. When mine arrived, they were inside the box, covered in some kind of oil that seemed like it was supposed to make them look shiny. It wiped right off and they're fine now, but it was very strange. Still, they are very cute little horses and have withstood quite a bit of abuse over the years.

Stablemates Foal SetMay 15, 2005
This Stablemates set is so cute and looks very fun to play withI don't have it, but I think it will be a lot of fun since it is for little kids I don't think it is educational because it's for fun not to learn with a set fun for the little kids.
