HUGE HIT WITH MY BOYSFeb 17, 2010
Since my son is five, I worried if he had the attention span required for this project. But this proved unnecessary since once opened, it was hard to make him stop at just one. This kit comes with everything you need make 4 mosaic pictures that can be hung up to display.
The best way I can describe this craft is that it's like paint by numbers except you place small mosaic tiles on numbered spaces instead of paint. The mosaics are on a pad with paper that needs to be peeled off in order to stick on the dragon picture.
My only complaint, and not worth deducting a full star, is that the mosaic pads are not labeled with numbers. You get a dragon picture with numbers on it to place the corresponding mosaics but the mosaic key only provides a color guide. Placing numbers on the back of the mosaic pad would be perfect rather then guessing. Also, you might need to keep track of the mosaic pads with younger kids in order to preserve every mosaic tile needed to finish all four pictures.
I highly recommend this dragon kit for younger ones since the pictures do not contain as many numbered tiles as others (Orb Factory Sticky Mosaics: Dinosaurs. This is a great art project for boys and I plan on buying more since they have been a huge hit. A great way to spend a rainy day!

My 4- and 5-year-olds love this toy. It's a great idea for a first mosaic. The only downside is it doesn't allow for any creativity. But, overall, I think it's a great art project for young ones who are just getting started.

I thought this would be a great crafty toy. My daughter and nephew love crafts and the crayola aisle just doesn't cut it sometimes. I purchased this dragon set for our 7 yr. old nephew and he really liked it. The templates look really cool when completed. He loves stickers so, sticker by numbers?? Oh yeah! I also purchased the Jewels set for my 6 yr. daughter and she loved it. These are so nice when completed you can hang them up in their bedrooms as art. My only complaint is they give you JUST enough stickers. You must be careful NOT to make mistakes because it seems they don't give you any extras...which is stupid since kids make mistakes!! Apparently, you can't buy them separately from the manufacturer either. I might have given this 5 stars if not for that. Regardless, it's a cool craft toy and I would buy again and will consider it for birthday gifts for other crafty kids. And today this is priced on Amazon for $9.95...DEAL...I paid $16.99!

I bought this for my 4 yr old daughter and she just loves it! It is easy enough for her to do by herself. The pieces adhere nicely to the picture and stay on well. There are plenty of extra stickers as well...just in case some get ruined. It is great for helping kids identify numbers and then match the stickers to the numbered sections on the board. Overall a great product I highly recommend!

My son who autistic, and loves crafts. He enjoys the touch and colors of these designs. They are a great balance between simple numbers, and great colors. The sticky tiles are great to touch. He enjoys these picture and spend hours with them.
