Best Thrush Medication You'll Ever FindMar 02, 2010

I have a draft horse with very tricky feet. She's been afflicted with a strange kind of thrush that makes her frogs spongy and causes a very, very deep sulcus. I've been using Thrush Off for two days now and already her frogs are toughening up. She's even walking better in just two days! We've still got a ways to go before her feet are totally healthy, but with this rapid improvement, it won't be long.
In trying to treat her feet before, I had tried many of the popular remedies for thrush with the most popular being Thrush Buster (don't be confused!! Get Thrush OFF). Both products are purple (Thrush Buster/Off), but the buster stuff damages healthy tissue while killing the thrush. With my girl's feet, this made her condition worse and her feet more painful. Nothing compares with Thrush Off! It has already begun to heal her feet and has not affected her healthy tissue. She doesn't even react if the Thrush Off gets on her skin...no stinging, no damage!

I foster horses for a rescue group and generally when they come to me they are not in the best condition including their feet. I recently took in an older retired Amish horse that was rescued from an auction and his feet were a mess with some really bad bacterial infection. Started using Thrush Off right away and within a week his feet were thrush free. It's safe to use on a regular basis, so on horses I have that are prone to get thrush I just use this product periodically to keep their feet thrush free :-)

I have a hoof resection I'm working with and he's sound that we continue to ride.
This makes for a great hoof wall protector which I apply every day when I'm out at the barn. It doesn't dry out the hoof like thrush buster or white lightning.

This was recommended by my farrier. I was using a spray blue koat type of product recommended by my other farrier, but I think this is less abrasive. A little goes a long way, also. Yes, I would recommend this product. Not as messy to use as other products either.
